Gross
So the nice lady on the phone told me I should write to British Airways Customer Relations. And I wrote a first draft of a letter this afternoon. And it's impossible and disgusting to have to write this letter and explain to them why they should give me my money back because my mom is sick. I had all these parantheticals in the letter (insert ticket information) to remind myself of what I should include in the letter (insert dates of travel)--all embedded in discussions of why I can't leave the country right now. And it's gross. And the question of whether I've written a "good" letter is gross. And the question of whether they'll read the letter and think, "We should reimburse her," is gross. And the thought of, "If you need to see evidence of my mother's condition," is not only gross, but ridiculous, and embarrasing, and stupid, and what-is-wrong-with-me? Which itself is also gross.
